Golden Foil

I've been painting my nails SO much these past few months. Painted them, my nails got stained yellow, I won't go out with yellow nails, so I keep painting them.

I found a new nail polish. Again. Barry M's 320. A golden foil-y kind of colour.

Two coats of that colour and a layer of Seche Vite's topcoat. It has been about 3 days and it's holding up pretty well. It could be the topcoat. But I never know these things. Speaking of topcoat, I am thinking of getting Butter London's topcoat. But I'll have to wait for next month (few more days!).

Have a golden weekend! =)

Bright and Glittery

I went a bit crazy a few weeks ago and bought a whole bunch of nail polishes when I was staying at Shenna's in Durham.

It took me ages to paint my nails this time and it took even longer for them to dry and not slip around. This needed 7 layers of nail polish!

All nail polishes used on my nails:
1) Two coats of Barry M's Matt White
2) Two coats of China Glaze's Celtic Sun (Neon)
3) A layer of Barry M's No. 294 ( it's a glitter polish that looks pink in the bottle )
4) A layer of China  Glaze's Fairy Dust
5) Finally, to make it all super shiny, a layer of Seche Vite's Dry Fast Top Coat

Have a bright and glittery weekend! <3

Still Dreaming

Went to Italy and fell in love with Rome. Specifically, the Vatican City. Even more specifically, the Swiss Guards. And even MORE specifically, this one. =)

Isn't he just dreamy? I am definitely obsessed! But that will be the one and only time I'm ever going to see him. =(
PS. If you know his name, please tell me =)

On a happier note, I painted my nails again!

Happy Easter and have a very colourful week ahead!

Nail Obsession

I gave into temptation, went into Superdrugs and got all of these, except the clear polish, yesterday. They're not too pricey so I don't feel TOO guilty. =D Had an inclination towards spring/summer colours because of Shenna Wong!

Then, today, instead of doing work for tomorrow's Examples Class, I procrastinated and painted my nails instead. Pretty cool effect, don't you think?

Also, it's Nisah's birthday today! Her gift reached yesterday so she'd already opened it and texted us and said she loved it. Hopefully, her card is already there by now. Didn't send it until yesterday afternoon. Heeehhh..

Anyways..

Stay cool and BE cool like my newly painted nails! <3

Bits and Bobs

Here's a summary of what I've been up to! =D

Watched a play written and directed by Simon, bought a pair of wellies, watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (I can't wait for Part 2!), painted my nails and my room in it's usual messy state

My first trip to Glasgow

Went to Edinburgh for a Christmas shopping trip

Snowed sometime at the end of November and beginning of December

Some of our meals and desserts over Christmas break! (yummyyy..)

The Oswestrians that I miss all the time! <3

Then I had my term exams and didn't have anything to write about (more like, couldn't be bothered/too lazy). I am currently having my two weeks break which is ending tomorrow =(.It was a good, relaxing two weeks nonetheless. I've been doing nothing apart from eat, read, sleep, shower and I've watched countless episodes of different TV series and a couple of movies.
I hope I've recharged enough to last me until the end of semester or at least until Easter break. I have to get my head down and start studying again (soon).
Not forgetting, CNY was just a few days ago. Have a very Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai! It's the year of the rabbit, so hopefully, the rabbits' feet will bring us all lots of good luck this year.

Adolescence Going On Young Adulthood

This is going to be a very "AWESOME" post.

It was an AWESOME day! Only had 2 lectures and I was done for the day. How great was that?! I didn't do anything in particular but the lovely people who sent me AMAZING gifts as well as all the greetings made my day! They made it less of a depressing-I'm-entering-my-twenties kind of a birthday to a more YAY-IT'S-MY-DAY sort of day! The day actually started off with my dearest Sharon calling me in the middle of the night (Mommy called the day before, before I went to bed). I was SO surprised and was pretty much speechless. HEHEHE.

Then I woke up and found this awesome masterpiece by the lovely Carolyn on my door. (Left to Right: Christel, Me, Carolyn)

Then after breakfast, I went to get this huge mysterious parcel that has been waiting for me in the office since the day before.

I opened it to find this AWESOME guitar hiding inside! And I was trying to find the name of the sender or anything!

I took a wild guess and thought it had to be one of the girls! So I texted Shenna and got the answer! ALL FOUR OF THEM!

Then later in the day, Christel came over and gave me this cute Momiji.

Then even later-er in the day, Carolyn gave me this. I was telling her that I wanted to get one of these a few weeks ago and she remembered!! So thoughtful!!

And these were the lovely cards that I got. Some later than others but all equally awesome!

And definitely not forgetting this AWESOME bracelet that I got from LIZZIE!! She HANDMADE this! Can you believe it?! The talents that she has astounds me!

Apart from the calls, texts, facebook messages and amazing gifts, another highlight of the day was that I took a leap of courage (is that even right?) and I went to the local piercer/tattooist and got my ears pierced. Again! That was AWESOME!!

I've been meaning to upload this ages ago! But have been procrastinating since the start of reading week. Haaaaahh!

Stay happy & healthy! =D

Alleycats and Chocolates!

ALLEYCATS! What/Who is that you ask? They are one of the great acapella groups we have here! They launched an album and had a show to celebrate it. It was awesome! They had really awesome soloists (really good looking too) who had AMAZING voices and a couple of beatboxers. I am actually, currently listening to their cd as I type. It was held in the Baptist Church which was surprisingly tiny inside. It was a cold day in general, and I didn't really expect the church to be cold as they had the heating on, but I had to put on my scarf/snood thing and jacket back on! But apart from that, it was just plain brilliant.

Also, mami called in the middle of the show and had to let let it ring (silently) then texted her later to tell her I was at the show. But I called her and ran out of credit then she called back again. And it was great to talk to her. And Shirley called too this afternoon. Then she ran out of battery I think. She needs to get her phone charged!

Well, all in all, I guess this was a brilliant way to end my teenage years.

Spread peace, love and hope! Stay happy and healthy! =)
